Those people were great to work with. I received 95 Torlon bearings the other day, & rebuilt my Harken 434 furler into a Hi Load 435 system.
I took numerous pictures & posted a Rebuild for Dummies in the tech Help section for anyone else contemplating a similar job. I never did find out what the correct part# was. The numbers listed on the invoice don't show up anywhere on Harkens site. Just ask for 5/32" bearings, 45/end. They are 30 cents each vs 10 cents for delrin. Total cost for 90 bearings to do swivel & drum was $27 plus a few bucks for postage.
Another bunch of good people are SaltyDog Marine. They seem to go the extra mile to get you what you need, & have been very accommodating with holding orders for me, so as to combine them all & keep shipping costs down. They actually run two sites, the Ebay store, a great place for standing rigging, & the website, SaltyDog Marine dot.com There is quite a bit more merchandise available at the dot com site.
I was up at the lakehouse last 2 days, ripping around with the kids boat,(15hp on a 12 footer). I cleaned the 2 years gunk off the hulls of my 5.7 today with a product I got from a janitorial service for $4.50 a litre bottle. Cleaned/lubed sail track & put the new trap adjustment lines on. Just waiting for a righting bag & a few other parts to show up, & I'll be ready to resemble the SS Minnow. The water is still a bit chilly, so I don't think I'll step the mast for a couple of weeks.
I still have to figure out a lift, or someway to store it on the water, without it actually being in the water. (My wife is already complaining that 2 boat lifts with stink pots, one sailing dinghy, one canoe, one windsurfer, kids boat, miscellaneous water skiis, tubes & crap have rendered our water view non existent, but hey, maybe she won't notice one more.)
