Just sort of brainstorming this morning, thinking about how cool it would be to put some graphics on my plain, white dacron sail. I have an idea for a design that could be mirrored on each side (so it wouldn't matter if you could see through the sail), and could be stenciled pretty easily. Does anyone have any reccomendations for ways to dye/paint dacron, or a good source for vinyl graphics that would hold up well on dacron? Again, just an idea at this point so I wont be heartbroken if everyone tells me this is a bad idea.
Cheers,
Stephen

as andrew says
2 years now and the standard oil based enamels i painted onto my sails and hulls seems to be still sticking on well to the 28 year old sail
no flaking or peeling even when rolling sail etc
used a gloss paint and some areas of the dacron sucked up more than others and left an uneven finish, but if you make the graphics big enough people stand further back to look at it and don't see the imperfections
