Anyone have some pictures of thier mast rotator set up on a boomless Nacra? I have Nacra 5.5sl and need some help finding the best solution. Thanks!

Mast rotators on the boomless Nacras are more trouble than they are worth because you have to constantly adjust them. You are better off not worrying about it unless you really feel you need it. Even on the my 5.2 I set my rotation so loose that it is rarely used.

Dave, Respectfully I totally disagree with that nonsense. It is an important part of making the boat go fast, especially off the wind, it's easy,simple, and uncomplicated.
Go to my photo album. I think there might be some pictures of the rotation set up there. If not, a have plenty of pictures I will post

Philip, no problems I certainly don't know everything (proved that last weekend). :) How the heck to you see peoples photo album's? I haven't been able to figure that out yet. Never mind found it.
Yeah, your setup looks different than the one I have seen before. Much easier.

I don't have a picture and it isn't clear from Mummp's unless you know what you are looking at. Basically my inderstanting is that you have a steel wishbone that points out the front of the mast, there are 2 cam cleats on the front beam. You run a line from the 2 cam cleats through the nose of the wishbone. You cleat the line with enough slack in it so the the mast stops rotating at a certain point.
On the fly you can tweak the position at which the rotation stops to fine tune your sail shape. This is the part that I think is a bit of a pain. I really find that my mast doesn't over rotate that much and I almost always need more rotation rather than less for better shape. That being said, I don't have a good basis for comparison because I haven't sailed with other cats.

Over simplified, mast rotation on boomless rigs is to induce rotation, while boom rigs are to limit rotation.
