I just moved back to Mobile and bought a used Nacra. Previous h16 and p16. My old spot (my mom's backyard) is gone. Where can I launch easily?

Unless your a member of Bucaneer YC there is NO place to beach launch
on the western shore. Its either private property or rip-rap. Eastern shore
has Fairhope Pier Park, at the very end of the park is a nice place, but NO
vehicles on the sand, you must use beach wheels.
There might be another place just north of the pier park, but I haven't
driven over that way to check it out yet. There are a few of us lobbying
the Dauphin Island City Council to be able to use either the West End
Park or the beach just west of Pelican Pub. . . or both. But after three
years of efforts I am beggining to get discouraged with that.
Most of us that live in the Mobile area drive to Quiet Water Beach on
Santa Rosa Island in Pensacola. Nice beach, free launching and parking,
but very busy on the weekends. You must get there early or its a
bitc....err, difficult. Ocean Springs Yacht Club is another great place,
but unless your a member there, its pretty much open only during the
Slip to Ship, Horn Island Hop and SOS regattas.
If YOU find a good spot. . . PLEASE SHARE ;)

Well I know there is Beach Avenue and Island Rd in Belle Fountaine or was anyway. I will check them out tomorrow. Both used to be ok.
