The slider on my jib zipper fell off to who knows where. The teeth are fine. Any suggestions other than replace the whole thing

A sailmaker may be able to put a new slider on for you, worse comes to worse a full zipper replacement is usually under $100. You can try asking a seemstress but they don't normally do such things.

no worries at all.. go to any canvas / bimini shop (or find one online) and get a new zipper car. usually a plastic #3 will work fine (on all the jib zippers i have seen). if you want to, get a metal one as well. the cost should be about $1.50 total.
with the plastic one, you should be able to force it onto the correct side. if not, carefully remove 1 tooth from the correct side with needle nose pliers.
i have gone through several zipper cars in my sailing career. no big deal at all. -
