Prindle rudder question

Is the rudder uphaul supposed to be a pulley and spacer or just a spacer? One of mine has a pulley and spacer and the other just has a spacer. Murrays diagram just shows a spacer. Any help?

The original one used the pulley. Later they did away with the pulley and just put in the spacer. I believe
the other pulleys in the casting are the same and you can use one of them if you want.

The photos helped me get mine rigged properly. The rudders are impossible to pull up if you don't use the pulleys properly.

i used all pulleys on mine, they work great! put a ss washer between them.
