Topsail Beach NC

I own a beach house in N. Topsail beach. I never see anyone sailing off the beach there. Is it too dangerous of a location? Or is it simply that all the landing seem to be on the sound side. I saw the three pics in the pictures section. -

Thanks, The last shot indicated for some reason he needed a new sail, but he didn't say why.
