Ok so this guy just basically gave me a p16 for 200 bucks to get his wife off his back. It needs some work but for the price I am more than willing.
From what I can tell there are a few areas in the hulls that the two layers (i'm assuming gel coat and the fiberglass) are separated. What is the best fix?
I have done some research and my guess i would be to inject some epoxy into the areas and somehow re join the layers.
Advice??

Use Git Rot as the epoxy filler, super easy to work with and provides awesome results

Yea, free is relative. I got a prindle 16 gifted to me and a very nice forum member gifted me a pair of pretty good useable sails but all the missing parts as well as having to restore the hulls can add up. I don't regret taking the boat nor all the work and everything else that it's going to take to get this boat sail-able but cheap and free are relative when it comes to a boat. -

To be honest I could turn around and part this out and make seven times the initial cost. I live in Mississippi and have been looking for boats for months and don't have 1700 bucks to buy one that needs more work than this one does. I'm attempting the git rot now

Bill..
I love it when someone thinks that the initial outlay is the whole enchalada.. Cept the change of title fees. Prolly thinks it will all work out.. We it will with you and Company in the area. Perhaps you could merchandise that unwanted stuff on Craigs. Thought about selling "spft spots" Sailers hate them. Someone must love them. I'm thinking about a color selection. Perhaps rainbow like the sails.."To Match". SEE... we got some brains here on this coast.. Even got a Coors plant where you could fill the "Keg-er-ator" for the chicks on your cat.. Cheers PAL... Hal

noonish...between the biloxi yacht club pier and the schooner pier, across the street from the ohr museum. it's a lightly used public launch with a black top lot. perfect cat launch spot, no beach wheels needed!

Hey Bill, sorry I missed you. I don't know if I had the wrong place, or if we got our times crossed. Maybe next time.
