The amazing race in The Netherlands around Texal Island, the biggest catamaran sailing event in the world, looks to have either great or disastrous conditions this year. The race has so many boats (over 400 most years) that they use a helicopter as a starting boat so everyone can see it.
They have had high winds and storms all week, making race preparations for the distance race difficult and making them cancel the two lead in regattas after just two days of racing.

The wind forecast is so high for Saturday that they may delay the race till Sunday. The scheduled start time on Saturday is between 11-12am (Netherlands Time) which is 7-8pm Central Time. Live streaming on their website at http://www.roundtexel.com/en/
