  • That looks to be a folding catamaran with a large center pod supporting a rig called an Aerorig which is a rotating mast supporting a boom for both the main and jib.

    Quite a combination of features from a folding trimaran and a kind of experimental rig used mostly on big monohulls. Wonder how it sailed or what it looked like on the water?

  • I saw that and thought about bidding, I did some searching and read that it was the only one built. I also read in numerous places that the areo rig was about worthless and found several accounts of people throwing them in the trash. Evidently it worked on RC boats but not big ones.
