Just picked up a 1976 Prindle 16 in fantastic shape...but completely disassembled. I am looking at the holes for the previous mast hound, and they do not match up with the new one I picked up. I want to make sure it is mounted in the right place on the mast, and was wondering if anyone had a measurement from the mast base to the bottom of the mast hound...I am sure I will have many other questions to come.
Thanks for your help,
Ty G Westfall

Be sure to plug the unused holes with silicone during assembly.
You want that mast watertight when you capsize.

You might consider plugging them a with rivet as well as silicone.

On my '83 mast it is 225 3/4" from the bottom of the base casting to the bottom of the hound.

Thanks a lot guys...I appreciate the help. I used to sail an old Alcort Catfish that I fully restored, so this is quite a jump up for me!
