updating H 18 blocks

I have used all 3. they are all great. the the only thing i dont love is the fact they stick to the velcro on my gloves and can get in the way a litte.
some people put velvro on the front beam to "stick" the jib/spin line in place -

Will the salsa run more smoothly thru the blocks? As in 3/8" salsa vs. 3/8" sta-set?
Edit: I have the old 3 Harken singles setup on the boom, and think that the line will flow thru a single triple better. My main problem is the 3/8" line and the traveler. i will be upgrading to the triple and the new line at the same time.
