My boat came with no sails and my replacement Whirlwinds have no ID other than the manufacturers name. How do I go about obtaining a sail number? Thanks in advance.

I've paid my sail repair guy to cut out some black vinyl and stick it to the sail. Anything visible that works, works.

I was told prior to 1974, Hobie sails number & the hull# were usually pretty close on a new boat, after 1974 that all changed and the numbers only purpose was for racing.
you can pick your own number (or letters) if you race. you can purchase them (like the link above) or purchase some dacron tape and cut your own out (or have a loft do it like suggested above) -

Thanks a million! I will call the sail loft and use some number of personal interest.
