We have a dealer in the Houston area advertising them and on the surface they seem pretty nice. More comfortable than a wetsuit and warm enough for the colder months around here. Not trying to get out in freezing temps here, but the water temps are still above 65 degrees and should stay that way for a while.
http://www.lavacoreinternational.com/ is the official website. Girl at the local dealer said they are not 100% waterproof but they dry very quickly and do repel water very well. Anyone out there tried this stuff?

They seem like a good layer, but not a wetsuit replacement. Also look more expensive then a wetsuit.

The lave core hood is very warm, I brought one and tried it on just haven't used it yet.
I really don't like cold water splashing in my ears, so that why I got one.

My bad;
B&W Dive Co.
16222 East Freeway
Channelview TX.

Girl at the store said it could be worn by itself. Considering it is pricey, I am thinking of trying a pair of the socks first to see what I think. You can buy two piece suits which look a lot easier to get in and out of so that would be good.

Checked these out yesterday at a local dive shop... person at the shop noted this is to wear under the wetsuit..
Maybe I am not looking at the right thing?

I have actually been losing weight. I now need a 4 to 5 lb. chihuahua for crew weight to get me to 285 on the 18.
