So, called the yard several times, made an appointment, drove
over a 100 km ,one way,to pick up trailer and so on....
Are you sure it can be reached this time?
Arrived this early afternoon to pick up the T..
And yes, they moved a couple of motorboats to release my T ..
" you can move it between the cradles, there's some room."
So, what about the mast ? its about 10 meters long ?
" oh, we didn't think about the mast"
Next week, they promised, I can get the T out of that shed.
Stupid motorboat-people !!!!
And yes, it was raining.
Keep you posted, André

Translation; " the boat looks good, well done" .Thank you, Nautilus
There are some sails with the boat, but not use-able . Already bought a Ullman cuben fibre
fathead and a pentex jib, still have a new F18 spi. Will use it the first season.

Yes !!
Tornado is at the club, almost 8 weeks of waiting, calling and wishing the
ice would go away. Today I picked up the T.
Finally free
On the road to club I found the T a little to big for the P18-2 trailer,
so decided to add a safety flag
Now the T is home..
On the downside, discovered a weak spot in the starboard hull, have to
fix it before assembly, bummer.

Having two wood Tornados that are on their 5th summer with us, where exactly is the weak spot? Pete -

The weak spot is on the starboard hull, on the inner side, just under the bridle tang and forward.
Its down on the waterline .
Looks like a collision repair rather then structural.

Hi,
Started on the T this week, found a marina where I can sand the hulls in
a environmental conscious way. (new EU rules)
Here's where she sits.
And here's my environmental friendly setup, bought a new sander and a
all round vacuum cleaner wich connects to the sander fine.
Actually, it works great, don't have to wear a mask and my clothes were
clean after the first run.
Have to be careful not to sand of the glass-cloth on the outside layer,
so switched from 80 to a 100 grain. The hull after 4 hours of sanding:
Started working on the "worse hull" first, and find that the weak spot is a
bit larger then expected.
Gonna start a topic in the technical section on this item.
And just now the forecast changed again, so.......
Keep you posted, André
