Hey
My wife and I just picked up a hobie miracle 20. We are keeping it In Southampton for the summer and were wondering if anybody knew some good spots to beach it. I am torn between keeping it in shinecock bay or on the peconic side. My house is pretty convienient to both as it is right near the lock system between the two bays. The guys over at Sailaction were very helpful and gave me some numbers of hobie owners which I have not yet had a chance to call quite yet.
This is our first boat and we have sailed it twice in about 10-15 knot winds. We have had about two years experience on monohulls up to 36 feet but she is a whole new ball game. She took our breath away when she lifted out of the water that first time. We were both smile ear to ear after sailing her for about an hour. But stepping that mast and getting it down every day is a lot to take on.
We d be stoked to meet more local sailors with some knowledge of the hobie 20. I'm coming up with new questions everyday.

Hey, I live and sail out of red creek pond on squiretown rd hampton bays. I keep a prindle and a 25 tanzer there. Great spot. Let me know if I can help. -

that area looks like a pretty good spot. my most easily accessible locations would be on the shinnecock bay side somewhere between jacksons marina and the launch ramp east of it on peconic road. on the peconic side somewhere east of the locks would work best as far as me being able to take a quick ride and keep an eye on it.
ill probably be out there this weekend or next weekend to scout some spots and hopefully step the mast for the last time this season. ill shoot you a PM and keep in touch when i head out there.
