Hello! I very recently purchased a 1978 solcat 18 catamaran, and was wondering if anyone knew of any sail covers that are sold or have been made for this boat. My brother and I bought some tarps to put over the sail and trampoline and figured that would do for now, but we haven't set up anything to keep the tarps down. It is raining right now and I am worried that the sails will get damaged if another storm comes along. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated!

It is not usual to keep sails on the boat overnight. You can use the main halyard to hook to end of boom leveling it. Get a 7 x 7 tarp from Harbor Freight or other box store and use small bungies (with hooks) to hook into gunwale lip of that boat. Pete -

I have a SOLCAT 18, and never leave the sails on. After sailing, take the sails off, roll them up and put them in the garage. Where we sail in CT our beach has 40 cats that stay on the beach. Never have I ever seen anyone keep their sails on the boat. -

that is probably IMHO because of someone stealing the sails. i have a solcat 18 and i store it on a friends beach with no public access and i keep the sails on the boat with the jib rolled up with the main under a sail cover.
