Egmont Key?

Anybody taken there beachcat out to Egmont Key recently? I will be in Tampa for work and thought I might try it in my G-cat. I heard they do not let you walk down by the ruins any more? If I sail can still beach the boat down by them? Where is the best place to launch? Fort Desoto?
