Hi all,
New UK member here.
Please see my album :- beachcat identification / unknown beachcats / spug's cat
I was given this cat as a project but cannot find out what it is - it is 12.5ft long GRP with dagger boards - the mast and boom were made in Southampton but I cannot find any other identifying marks - it needs a lot of work so I am unsure whether to commit !! - can anyone help to identify it please.
As a complete contrast I have also bought a 16ft Newcat Swing in really good condition and my thought was to get some experience on the 12.5 ft before trying the Swing - I weigh 62 kg - any opinions very welcome.
Can you identify my Cat ?

I don't immediately recognize your boat but we have experienced folks here from all over the world, surely someone will recognize it.

Does the sail have a logo on it? Do the sterns show any Hull Numbers? Usually the manufacture will either place the HIN (Hull Identification Number) on the stern or on a plate on the rear beam. The first four digits of that number tell the manufacturer.

Judging by the logo on the bow, I'd say it's a 12.5' candy bar.
Oh wait! No, that one's spelled "Kit Kat" and this one's spelled "Kit Cat". My mistake.
Unfortunately that's one of those names that's just not suited for Google searches. "Kit Cat" brings up everything from misspelled candy bars to 40' power cruisers. >sigh<

wow... 12.5' with a jib and dagger boards...that could be fun! great solo toy...couldn't be much easier to rig and move than that. bet it's a kick when it's blowin'.

Yeah, interesting boat, can nobody ID it? I figured it was one of the many designs by Hobie Europe but all their smaller boats have skegs instead of daggers.
If we can get the Hull numbers or some logos it would help. Can't tell if Kit Cat is a model name or just something the owner named the boat. The picture ain't too good, got anything better?

I've added some more pictures - image 1833 thumbnail has been clipped but if you open it you will see the full side view of the hull.
I have searched inside the hull and out and can find no numbers or logos. The sail is made in Portsmouth and has that peculiar red logo - otherwise nothing.
I've spent many hours on Google - the closest shape I can find is a Paper Tiger but those are longer and made from wood ! -

Thanks for the responses so far - someone on the CVRDA website thinks it may be a Mini Hurricane although I cannot find any info on them.
