some vendors who have proven (to me) to be GREAT and deserve my $'s and recommendation are
Murray's
Sunrise Yacht (tramps)
and PreSailedParts (from this site) was very good to deal with.
I was allowed to return an item because ... well i just didnt like it as much as i thought i would. Returned, no problem! - thats good customer service (imho)
My top performers are certainly
1) Aquarius - even though I have an older SC 15, they have always gotten me the needed part(s) (sometimes at lightning speed - and great advice
2) SLO Sails
3) Murrays
4) Dan Berger - member on this site and always gotten me great used parts and advice

As already mention a couple times Aquarius/ARC. Can't say enough good things about those guys.
I've been really happy with Jill and Robbie AHPC Distributer/Fun in the Sun. From product support to taking us into their home on Christmas Day for a training camp. They really treat you like family, might be part of the reason there are so many on the C2/Viper these days!

Philip,
I see NRS got an impressive 6 out of 5 stars
Yes they did and well deserved, and 6 out of 5 stars is impossible to achieve unless they have saved you from death, . . . and more than once, which they did (in Alaska). On second thought, so did a Ruger .44 Mag with Garrett loads, but that's definitely not related to sailing. On third thought, so did my G Loomis, but that doesn't apply to sailing either (unless you whip your worthless crew with a fly rod). So yes, NRS is over the top.
BTW Andrew, Trojan is involved with sailing. You would know that if you owned a Nacra.
John, all you ever do is rant about how gorgeous the southern bells are in Auburn. You only get 3 stars because you never send me swag and you are a high maintenance buyer (like some of the others here). I still sent you a turkey, but shipped it COD (Lee told me only COD for you. Take it up with him, should be thawed my now) Oink Oink
I second Murray's. For foreign sailors, where a tiny item will automatically attract a standard shipping charge, give them a personal call. I stopped by Carpenteria a couple of years ago, & they told me to just phone for envelope sized stuff & they could drop it in the mail for a couple of bucks.
Salty Dog has been good
Sailing Services in Florida were very pleasant to deal with.
For any Canadian sailors around the GTA, don't forget about Sobstadt Sail in Barrie. The owner won a gold medal, sailing Tornadoes, in the Olympics. He knows a bit about Cats. They have a good sail loft, & better prices & knowledge than West Marine.
