Deck port size  Bottom

  • I have a McGreggor Venture 15 straight hull. I finally have every thing on it up to par and the kids (9 and 13) love sailing on it. So to give myself something to do I left the deck port cover sitting on the hull so the inside could dry out. Then I started mowing the lawn. Bumped the trailer and shook the cover onto the ground. Next I mowed over the cover shattering it into about 10 pieces. I didnt find all of them. My question is , Will a new cover fit right in the old threads? Or do I have to put in a new port cover? I don't live near anyone with a cat to check. It seems to be a 6 inch flat port.

  • Wow, I thought I was the only one to do stuff like that. Did this cat have two ports? You're probably going to have to buy the whole kit, so if the lid doesn't fit you've got the ring for the new install. Pick up some 5200 and screws while you're at the marine supply. Get a SS ball chain and a couple of pad eyes while you're at it. My gag was to wrap the tarp lines around the mower blade. GH

  • Only one port. I fugured a whole new one would probably be the way to go.
