Can I attach a 40mm block at the cam cleat on this block to maintain the 7:1 purchase I currently have on my Prindle 18? I have been trying to find pictures of this thing, other than the side view, to see if there is an eyelet there.
My 30 year old ratchet does not ratchet anymore and I have been trying to come up with a good solution. The triple with the becket that attaches to the boom functions perfectly fine, so I would just need to modify the lower blocks or replace. Pete

While that is Possible, attaching it to the becket seems to work a little better. You can also use a smaller block there if your sheet isn't huge. I used a double 29mm there.

I was thinking of the one with the becket but was worried that I would get line friction. Can you post a pic of your set up? Did you use a soft shackle when attaching the block to the becket? I use 5/16 line.
