I'll start.
While putting the boat into the lake off the trailer the boat got a little sideways due to the wind and I dropped the bow onto my nice LED trailer light, snapping the light off the frame and tearing loose some wires. Nice scratch in the bow as well.
But it was a beautiful steady wind day!

Not this weekend, but last Saturday, got a hole in the hull from a kayak. Was sailing on the Texas City Dike, and a wake from a cargo ship rolled the kayak into starboard hull. Glass and Epoxy time for me.

Broke 2 carbon F16 rudders on the same Saturday Jeff got a hole in his boat. Weekend before that broke a carbon rudder casting and the jib traveler track. It has been a very expensive sailing season, and I have about 2 hours on the boat so far!

I was BSing around the boat waiting on the wind to start up when I tripped over my rudder blade and cut the crap out of one of my toes. Apparently they trailing edges are pretty dang sharp.

This topic may need sticky status for updates each Monday. I can probably keep it going from just my F-ups.

"Stupid Stuff I Did This Weekend"
Jumped on my buddies g-cat 5.7 in longboat key with a hangover
biggest swells i have ever pushed off into - extremely rough surf (for me) looked much less extreme from land. Gave me that roller coaster feeling when your stomach climbs up in your chest and then falls back down ... over and over)
i would NEVER, ever (ever) push off in those conditions on my boat (but am willing to crew on other people's boats in most conditions)
In the end we sailed for a few hours, pretty wild ride.... -
