My 5.7 did not have the "forks" on the rear beam, but both 5.2's & the 5.0 did. The fork is actually the same piece as is near the top of the mast. It is what you hook the slug on the wire halyard onto.
I squared the boat, then riveted them on.
Both older Nacra manuals reference the stops on the rear beam, & say to butt them against the tang on the hull.
I always thought the front one was to prevent the V brace bar from damaging the hull, & the rear ones to prevent "creep", the hulls moving inwards.
Not sure what year they eliminated them, the 5.9 is an '88 & has them.
