lol i even took pics of every step for this project, then lost them. If you enlarge the picture of the rack (click on it) then you can see how the two pieces of the rack kit attaches to the 2x2 square tube. I simple removed the square tube and attached it to the trailer tongue instead. -

To Clarify:
HF rack has two halves that are bolted together.
At top, halves connect with two brackets at top rail line.
At bottom, halves connect to 2"x2" hitch receiver tube with 4 bolts.
To install on trailer:
Remove hitch receiver tube for rack.
Drill (4) bolt holes horizontally through tongue of trailer.
Bolt rack to trailer.
