I found this old boat on CL
http://mobile.craigslist.org/boa/4589645314.html
and I figure it would worth my time if I pick it up at $400-450. Any thoughts? I know there are better deals in the US, but Mobile is not flush with catamarans.
And when I buy a trampoline, is white or black better? The white is a lot cooler, but the black will always look clean.

That P16 has some good, 6:1 mainblocks, good steering system, home-made beach-wheels, mast looks straight. The bad:- that hull repair is going to be a big job, tramp will set you back almost $300, replace all standing rigging, another $200, repairs to trailer, repairs to jib etc, etc. He wants $600, you offer him $300, settle on $450 and you have anoher project boat Rob....... -

I like a project Fiber glass work is easy. It makes the boat feel more like yours when you do work on it. I have a "use till failure" policy for standing rigging. I think he paid more than $300 for the boat, but that is his bad investment. I will keep yall updated.
