Heads up guys! Looks like a R33 project on Copart;
http://ww2.copart.com/us/…hotos?SearchId=766222666
Don't know anything about the boat or the auction salvage company site, just ran across the listing from a post off the O'Day Mariner Owner's board.
PLEASE NOTE: Lots of BAD Internet reviews of Copart - SO BEWARE!
If anyone gets her - please keep us posted!
Later,

I have a commercial copart account. Look up a fee calculator online before bidding. Those fees get expensive quick.

Shipping to the west coast will be the cheap part of this venture.

Onekiwi, Looking at other listings posted on the Copart Salvage Auction site, I do not see sails with any sailboat. I would assume no sails are included. It appears the last two images of the R33 (the images that show the boat assembled) were taken at a different location to the other images showing the loose hulls and components. And really, is this 'auction site' for real??? I mean, LOLWUT is up with this:
http://ww2.copart.com/us/…0324?searchId=1870405770
Estimated retail value at $31,319 USD???? Color is Burn?????
Maybe Bacho can enlighten us on the Copart experience ... Is it true that it cost $25.00 per visit, per person, to inspect a vehicle AND that the inspection can only be done 1 day prior to the auction?
When I Google Map a NC location http://tinyurl.com/kn37q9u, It looks like there are 1000s of cars, so what's up! I know of a 'local' mechanic that had a small 'junk yard' where I would get parts for my vintage Mustangs). He was not far from from this place and got 'shut down' for environmental reasons (not long before this Copart location opened). My question is how can Copart store all of those vehicles without some sort of environmental damage?
The whole thing seems very shady to say the least ... a burned trailer .... $31,319.00 ...

I would say the photos of assembled boat may have been supplied by the owner of the cat.Co part is a really big business,I did a lot of business with IAAI another clearing house for salvaged vehicles a few years ago and never had any trouble with them.I had damaged motorcycles shipped from coast to coast.These company's storage\auction yards are huge and do resemble a tidy wrecking yard without the wrecking .The Renolds looks as if it would really have to be inspected though.
Just checked out the link you posted and this is not unusual as they have contracts with the insurance company's and have to go through the motions to clear this stuff.

I know this boat. But the last time I saw it, it was in much better shape! Active racer here on the Chesapeake. But the pics of it assembled aren't even near the shape it was in the last I saw her last year. Black netting hanging off the sides were for hiking racks that had been added to each side. I need to find out what happened...
