Looking for Launching areas around Oscar Scherer state park / Venice area?

Can anyone advise on good areas to sail from/launch around the Oscar Sherer state park area? We'll be camping down there this weekend and thought we'd bring out little catalina 12. -

There are two kayak launching locations, but you have to carry your kayak to the water.
Can you shoulder your Catalina?
