I am new to using sister clips and ready to replace the halyard. What do you recommend I use to fasten the clips to the line? Seizing wire? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I'm not 100% sure of what you mean....but, I use sister clips each spring, to hoist the jib, then remove the extra line til fall.
My clips each have a small hole. I put the line through the hole, & tie a single small stopper knot. that's it. Mine look like this;

Hog rings and then cover with electrical shrink tubing so they don't tear your jib.

The smaller the attachment the easier it is to go through the jib luff when it is zippered
Hog rings were used when they were new from the factory
