I kept getting stuck in the sand when backing my Nacra to the waters edge so I made a tongue extension for about $100. I removed the coupling that was on the tongue then I bought a square tube that was slightly smaller than the size of the tongue and a new smaller coupling for it. Then I slipped the tube inside the other one and drilled thru both to make sure the holes aligned.
There is a hole and pin near the end and one about 48" back. I made sure I left at least 18" overlap inside. Used hitch pins to hold them together.

Nice work! Don't think I've seen a beachcat trailer with a tongue extension but they are really common on big boat "Trailer Sailors" that need to get farther down the ramp for deeper water.
Years ago I crewed on a San Juan 24 with a fixed keel, we trailered it all over the place and carried two very long extensions to get it to float off shallow ramps.
