Hi everyone, Hi Will , f20ht, Peter
have reported to me this forum, I state that I did not know this site, it is a pleasure to read the thoughts of everyone, all your thoughts are helpful to me to improve this boat.
thank you Will f20ht Peter to introduce S9 project here,
I have no business relationship with the writer here, we're just friends, are people who have had the opportunity to see and test S9.
I can understand that S9 is a new thing and sometimes difficult to understand, I am at your full disposal for any information or clarification.
Best regards to everyone, Michele
If you interested to get a foiling cat the S 9 is yr best option

Welcome to TheBeachcats.com Michele. I was confused earlier and thought that 20htcat was Michele since the first post was introducing the boat and came from Italy.
I looked around the Bimare and s9team websites for more info but don't find much. So trying to clear things up.
Do you (Michele) work for Bimare? Is the Stunt S9 a Bimare product they will sell as part of their lineup? Since a demo in Texas has been mentioned, could you give more details about when and where, and who is the US representative for the boat?
Thanks,

What Wlrottge wrote is absolute correct:
Michele is the designer/developer/builder of the S 9.
But he is also, with his brother Valerio, the son of Lallo Petrucci, the founder of BIMARE Catamarans.
Michele works at Bimare loft from more than 25 years (since when he was a teenager). In the latest 10-15 years he has been in charge of BIMARE Composite, the division which takes care of the manufacturing of BIMARE carbon masts and beams (in the proprietary autoclave).
The S 9 mast and beams are built by Michele IN HOUSE.
So far the S 9 has been created and marketed as a product not-included in BIMARE range of catamarans even if it is built and assembled at BIMARE factory -

There will be two Stunt 9s for us to play with in central Texas some time in January.
There are many details still to be worked out, but the process is under way.
I'll post more as the process evolves.
PM me if you wish. -

a couple of questions of general interest:
how do you think to learn to fly yr S9?
Do you already find a flight instructor?
May you confirm the publicized quotation for the S 9 delivered to the USA? -

20htcat: I have a couple of friends why fly Stunt S9 and Flying Phantom who will teach me if I ask them nicely.
Cost is not known: shipping, taxes, customs, and other charges are not yet known. I bought the boats for me and my friends to enjoy - I am not a dealer - please contact Michele to purchase a boat. Thank you for your post of October 29 - very helpful. -

Hi 20htcat , these are the information that you wanted:
S 9 export retail price ex factory for a complete boat with beach dolley (big wheels) and full covers EUR 14.500 = USD 15.700 at the present exchange rate plus
EUR 2.300 = USD 2.500 (freight cost for a 40' container from BIMARE to Houston harbour including insurance)
Then all up it is USD 16.950 for each of the two S 9 actually in the container. You have to add to this amount the US custom duties, taxes and trasport costs from Hourston harbour to yr home. There is still ample room in the container for other S 9s or other boats in BIMARE range so that the freight and custom clearance costs can be significantly reduced .
hi DamonLinkous , yes, I work in Bimare, but S9 is a personal project, however the boat is built by me, in Bimare, all its components are made of carbon autoclave (excluding hulls).

now you know how much do you have to pay for yr S 9 landed to Houston = USD 16,950.
Yr best option if find a few other catsailors interested to buy the little foiling cat at the very special promotional price offered to you by Michele (if you have a look at his website http://www.s9team.eu you'll learn that the S 9 is already marketed at EUR 17,900=USD 19,300 ex factory).
Let me make some calculations for you:
with four S 9s in the container yr bill is reduced to USD 16,300 and with six boats to USD 16,100.
Alternatively you can search also for "traditional" catsailors potentially interested to other BIMARE floating cats such as the fast F16 (carbon mast) which won the second place at the latest F16 Europeans (USD 15,900 ex factory) or the Zero Classic A cat (USD 15,100). Good luck -

Hey, it's March 15th, why no feedback on the S9 that was to arrive and be flying on February 13. How about a report and some video?

Thanks for the videos. Kinda reminds me of learning to boardsail, screaming reach, crash, screaming reach, crash. The speeds aren't what I was expecting, maybe as you get her dialed in the high 20's will start happening. (A 1985 Supercat 17 19 or 20 will get those same speeds) I am impressed with the build quality, looks impeccable.
Thanks again, great vids.
