My father bought me a used one for my 16th birthday in 1985. I sailed and raced it for 2 years. It's like a cross between a Nacra and a Prindle 15. The daggerboards make it go to the weather mark like a bullet, and tacks are much easier than on non-board boats. I loved mine and often sailed it with another light person. Mine didn't have near as nice a sail on it. I thought it was a great boat. If you are under 200lbs, it will also be competitive against the other cats in handicap fleet.

Picked up one last Fall without a mast or tramp. It has Prindle base so am having Chip Buck Sq top the sail to fit the P-16 mast which is one foot shorter. He's also building a non-breathing tramp & adding sail material down to deck Ala new A cats & 18 squares. Can't wait to get it into the water. Pete
