Anyone sailed handicap races scored by SCHRS? (Small Catamaran Handicap Rating System)
http://www.schrs.com/
I would like a discussion here about moving handicap beachcat racing over to the more up-to-date and catamaran specific SCHRS system.
If you aren't familiar with the current state of these two rating systems, please follow the links and read up.

The starting difference between the two systems is that Portsmouth was established based on race results for class boats turned in by fleets and yacht clubs to US Sailing, while the SCHRS system is a "measurement system with some adjustments".
Unfortunately the Portsmouth ratings haven't been updated for multihulls since 2008, and so ignore the fast rate of development of the spinnaker boats.

To me it looks like the SCHRS is a very fair system as it takes into account the actual boat measurements (therefore the more accurate boat performance expected by design) rather that overall results over different regattas, especially since Portsmouth ratings have not been updated since 2008 and newer boats have not been truly accounted for.
