The shock line running through my front beam that takes in the slack from my jib sheet and main downhaul broke. Any advice on repairing this? Do I have to take the beam off and apart to repair this? I took off the end cap but doesn't seem apparent to me what to do next.
Looking through the web and manuals but cannot find anything that explains this process.

No need to take the beam off. You will need a fish tape or a batten.
Should be a single micro block tied to the inside of the beam on each side. Or could be a ring.
If both sides lost tension when the bungee broke then the bungee goes from the hole in the beam cap to the block on the other side, to the block on the first side then to the other beam cap.
If only one side lost tension then the bungee is tied off on one side, thru the block on the other side and back to the beam cap.

Good morning - I have a new question related to this subject. I also have a 2001 Nacra F18 with a single shock cord going through the front beam. On the end of each shock cord is a 1" SS ring so the cord cannot go into the beam.
How do you attach the Cunningham and/or jib sheet to this shock cord? On the Infusion, there appears to be 2 lines through the beam and for the Cunningham it appears somehow the beam shock cord can pull the excess Cunningham line into the beam. My F18 is not rigged this way because at the end of the shock cord, external to the beam plate, there is a SS ring.
Is there a way on the F18 to pull the excess lines into the beam? Right now I tie off the jib sheet and Cunningham to the ring with a bowline. I am not sure this is right.
I do not believe the beam shock cord is to be used for my crew trapeze - I have two other trapeze shock cords already through the hulls for this purpose.

Need to login so you can get Jeff's rigging diagram inside the front beam. Both the jib sheet and the downhaul are on bungee take ups. Infusion has a third bungee for the crews trap line, and the downhaul runs through the crews trap below the handle on a ring or block. -

My guess is that the ring is there for travel and not intended to be there while sailing.
I use a line to tie to the bunge so I can untie the jib sheet so that I can remove it for travel. The ring would accomplish the same thing. I run my cunningham line to the crew's trap, and my rotator line was tied to the bungee until I separated it in two pieces. Now the part on the boom is amsteel with a block on the end that has a removable sheave and the part that goes under the tramp is a continuous line that goes thru the beam.
You are correct that the crew's trap does not use the beam bungee.
