the 1980s Nacras almost all used the same mast section. Does anyone have a proper description/dimensions for this section and/or an equivalent carbon mast section? I have a line on couple of carbon masts and am trying to figure out if they will work or if I will have to change my mast base/stepping system.

I'd be interested in some related info to this as I heard some early Nacra 18 square masts were thinner/weaker than later ones. Any info on what switched and when between all the boats would be nice to know. -

Just to confirm / answer my own question. I emailed NACRA and they said the mast section didn't change between the 5.X boats and was always the same between the boats. Even the new extrusion which is technically different from the old one they said was designed to have the same strength / flexibility
