Hello,
I was in a hurry to remove my tramp off my Prindle 18 before hurricane Irma hit. So I cut tramp lacing. So now I need to replace the line. The line I cut out was a braided polyester line. I know of some a-cat guys that use Dyneema or Spectra line, which I think is the same except made by a different manufacture. I was wondering which line handles abrasion, and living in Florida UV the best. Or maybe there is something better out there for tram lacing. Unlike some tramp lacing the lacing on a P18 is against the hull, plus to lace the tramp I use a pair of vicegrips on the line to keep it tight while lacing.
Thanks for your input.

I would use some 2.8mm spyderline: https://www.westmarine.com/buy/new-england-ropes--spyderline-micro-dyneema-braid-by-the-spool--P002_071_002_515
Another option is 3mm excel racing from marlow or straight 3mm dyneema. The spyderline works pretty well, is abrasion resistant, reasonably priced and runs a little better under the eyes commonly used on tramps.
