The sands of time  Bottom

  • I went jogging on Sullivan's Island over Christmas holiday and had to snap a few pictures of these catamarans. There were two others (both H16) that I could not get to; they both looked like they were being used.

Getting buried by the sands of time. Cat trax might be nice though. It is possible this happened over the fall and winter.

Note the mast in the background

Despite the righting lines, this one looked in good condition

  • wow - those are some derelict cats
Giving sailors and catamaran's a bad reputation

PS I was stationed in Charleston in 88
Was a great area, I remember getting in loads of trouble after a night out at The Windjammer, pretty close to that exact location

  • Wonder what R10D10 will think these objects were for when dug up 1000 years from now? Trinkets of some inferior species? Flower pots with aluminum warming rods?

I'm guessing this guy didn't know the difference between a horizontal beach and a vertical one?
Nice landing, though. Bows are level, mast appears straight, and are those wings above the hulls?

I just hope there isn't crew / skipper (still) in the dirt in front of this boat

not sure what those things are above the stbd hull ... does look like it could be some type of trap seat, or parachute, or pizza box, or ... so YES - defiantly wings
  • MN3pizza box, or ... so YES - defiantly wings

Yea, I see what you did there...
