Has anyone had any success painting sails or putting logos on them I am talking regular canvas sails I just want to jazz up my cat without spending a fortune -

good point they are not mylar it is a nacra 5.2 I don't think they are original they look good jib is older and looks it but I don't have a clue what they are made of I was just asking if anyone has any experience painting or somehow changing the color of a sail? -

Letters on most sails are vinyl. Sign shop could cut some to apply. Wouldn't do the whole sail.

They are probably, more than likely, quite possibly, made of dacron. You may be able to have them dyed a color. I would contact a sail maker and go from there.

I saw a video of some french ladies doing beautiful art work on some sail cloth , it was amazing.....They used a paint that didn't wick long the thread but stayed right where the paint brush laid it.
