I read hear on BC some guys use vinyl lattice to move a boat without damaging the bottoms. Would a vinyl soffet work too. Real long, ridges to keep it aligned., about a foot wide, seems perfect. Only difference is its solid vs lattice has openings.
We sail on a beach with slightly gritty sand. Pulling them up for a lunch break would be it's only use. Cat trax ate used to move them in and out.
Has anyone tried this?

John,
I am sure that soffet will work fine but might be a bit more difficult to clean when it does and it will collect sand.
We just toss the lattice into the water and with the openings the sand washes off. Also consider the length. You will have to travel with it. We lay the lattice across the tramp for transport. Nowadays we only use the lattice to protect the deck from scratches at my friends camp. On the beach we just toss the wheels under even just for a lunch break. Solo might be nice to be able to pull up on vinyl.

We have a short growing season here in the North so we have to rely on Vinyl lettuce to get us through.
