There's a short chainplate above the 5.5 swivel. Anyone know if it's available separately? Or suggest a solid adjustable alternative? Like this:
I store mast up in lotsa wind, so I would feel better about adding a well-made 2-3" extension plate than a D shackle.

That type of inline block is for use with wire halyards, if you are using line, you are wasting the $35 they cost.
I started out with that on the N5.7, but ended up using Spyderline for the halyard, along with a small Harken block.

the block works fine with non wire too -
i am not a fan of wire halyards
they require crimping tools
they break, and strands can end up under your skin
i will probably never purchase another - hm line is easier, cheaper and available in many local locations
