I assume we are talking a 94 5.5 right? The 2004 f18 will have a D Shaped beam while the 5.5 beam is round.

im talking about a F18. with the D shaped beams. Is there a difference between the D shaped rear beam on a 94 F18 and a 2004 F18 D shaped rear beam?
thanks -

In 1994 there were no F18s only Nacra 5.5s which were 18 feet and not similar in any other way.
Hulls different
Rudders different
Rudder castings different
Beams different
Dagger boards different
Tramp different

Doing some research, the first inter 18 was built in 95 according to sailboat data. This is several years earlier than I was aware of. The inter 18 and the 2004 f18 should have the same or very similar beam extrusions. They are likely possible to swap with each other. I doubt you will find someone online who has actually done that conversion.

Nacra has used that section for every boat after going away from the round tubes. I think the only question/problem you might have is the location of the holes for the beam bolts. -
