Just finally got a Hobie 18SX and can't wait to start enjoying it. Sailed a H16 as a kid with family and remember it being so much fun. Looking for another cat person around here to teach me how to rig and sail this great beach cat! Will gladly and insist on compensation for you time. Thanks and can't wait to meet some fellow enthusiasts! Cody . pm or cmdcarpentry@yahoo.com -

I'm a bit too far west of you to meet, but do you have the manual for the boat?
If you search the Tech Tips album here you will find useful information on the H18.
Also, search the calendar for events that you could attend to meet cat people and learn more.
Are you trailering the cat, or plan to have it in storage somewhere?
Does Lake Keowee have a beach that allows launching, or will you use the power boat ramps?
If Florida is not too far, there are some active Hobie cat sailors there.
Welcome to the club!
