It’s a Hobie 3.5 (as in 3.5 meters long). Essentially just a scaled down Hobie 14 (if you thought it was even possible to scale down a 14....). They were only made a few years and are quite rare. They were intended for children and are really too small for adults to sail. If the boat is complete and the hulls aren’t soft, it might be worth considering if you have kids/grandkids that are interested in sailing. But some of the parts were specific to the boat (rudder system for example) so if they’re missing, they could be quite difficult to replace.

Yes, those were tiny! Also called a Hobie 11. Here is a picture of one sitting on top of the big ole Hobie 14!

Looks like another 3.5 for sale on craigslist. It’s being advertised as a 14, but the rudder system is a dead giveaway. For $50, it would be a good parts boat for someone in need on the central East Coast.
