We are hosting a regatta off Crystal Beach on Bolivar Peninsula. We are anticipating running triangle windward/leeward style and distance courses that will start and finish off the beach and/or from a committee boat. We are expecting one design and handicap classes.

So racing will be in the Gulf, not in East Bay?
What start/end points do you have in mind for the distance race?
Is it typically an on-shore wind there?

Always an onshore for the summer. There is no sailing in east bay. The distance racing will be similar to the Bolivar rig run course. Expect some 20-30 miles at least

There is anticipated 3 days of racing; distance and buoy. The buoy race will have longer legs and in the triangle windward/leeward format. Weather dependent, the distance courses could be up to 30 miles each. We have a lot of options for courses. More than likely, the distance races will be started and finished off the beach. We have many years of experience starting and finishing races off the beach.
We have four boats already registered. I'm aiming for 50 boats.
We are working with places on Bolivar Peninsula for accommodations. We don't have much leverage with Airbnb, so I would recommend securing a place early if you are considering coming.
If you are considering it, I have registration set-up where you do not have to pay immediately. pre-registering does help up with an idea of who's coming.
