What is the best kind of glue to use so the carpet remains on cradle of cat trax?
My carpet fell off one side.
Not sure if I should sand off old glue or just glue back on.

Any good contact cement like Weldwood will work. Readily available at any home improvement store. I would
try to get most of the old glue off but would not kill myself over it. Make sure to follow the instructions that come on the can.

If the "old glue" is contact cement and just a thin layer as it should be, solvents in the new cement will dissolve the old stuff enough to get a good bond. Just clean and maybe rough it up good first, then follow the instructions on how long to wait before pressing it all together.
The first time I replaced the carpet on my siderails, I though I needed to get all the old stuff off, and it took forever.....just brutal.
