Has anyone used a Parkit360 , Trax TX6000 or similar dolly to pull Cat up a boat ramp?
These seem to work great on even or slight grades ,but not sure if wheels would just spin when trying to pull out.
It would be pulling a 19 ft cat at 400lbs .
I launch at a Club where I cannot bring car onto the ramp and my back is taking a beating .

I have the same problem, sailing alone and also being a little older. You must do the math first. The ones you suggest are total overkills.

As I at the moment am building a motorized jockey wheel and a light weight beach trolly, I have the figures. With 400lb+jockey wheel+trolley, you don´t need over 1kN(ca 200lbf) to pull the combo up a 10 degree ramp. The ramp I use is 7 degrees and from concrete and should only need below 0.5kN. Also remember you will add quite a few lbf pull yourself !

I am building my from a 2000lbs 1800W 12V car winch and a standard 260mm jockey wheel. Max pull is 1200-1700Lbf depending on choosen gearing, I have two different wheel sprockets to chosse from. There are numerous versions for pulling trailers on Youtube.

With a descent weight on the jockey wheel there will be no problem with wheel spin, if the ramp is asphalt or concrete, though loose sand can be a problem. With the trolley wheels at or just rear of the shroud chainplates, my Nacras give enough weight at the front.

The puncturefree low cost wheel I have will probably need to have grooves cut in it. It will also need a few screws between rim and tyre to prevent slip.

I was thinking of same type of DIY , but I am not into welding and could not come up with a proper housing to install everything together . I actually modified an old track driven snowblower by removing the front end and installing a hitch ball . Thing is way to noisy and I do not using it .
Standard ramp, guessing 10 degree.
I do not mind the overkill as long as it works and can last many seasons

Are you using the trailer to launch or dragging it up on beach wheels? Beach wheels are much lighter but then
you still have to load the boat back on the trailer. If you already have the snowblower modified, why not remove the gas engine and replace it with a winch motor and battery? How far do you have to move the boat to reach your car? I found this cheaper alternative if using the trailer.

I am using a homemade dolly equivalent to beach wheels with extending pull bar w/ball coupler . The boat sits within 50 ft of ramp . I can actually roll it it over and down the ramp myself .Problem is getting back up the ramp Great idea about modifying the blower !! Can be a good winter project .

Revintage , just took time to check out ur diagram and realize how interesting it is . No need for the box housing. Very smart and simple setup . Will have to consider this going forward

Got the idea when I saw one of those. Unfortunately they move extremely slow with to low power. So my design is just a beefed up version of them with 5 times the power for less money plus some work in the workshop, to get the speed up . The intention is to use my jockey wheel on other trailers.

I am building it on a std jockey wheel. If you don´t have the possibility to weld, you could probably bolt the motorized wheel together from aluminium profiles.
