I got a set and the cross handles collapsed in one season. I am 215. Not sure I want to get new ones. It might be bettee to make my own cross handle from polymer bar stock. Has anyone gone this route? What plastic did you use?
The click bait title is due to my frustration.

Maybe a bad batch of plastic for the handles.
I (as well as countless other Hobie sailors) have used those handles for decades.
I would try to return them to the dealer if they are only one season old.
