Hi all, been away from the forum for 10?years or so but have been enjoying my summer boat 5.2 through that time.
But recently have been dabbling with a 1980 and 1994 hobie16.
Both have a seemingly meangingless plastic/stainless bit in the lower section of the forestay chainplate, have removed on both boats to get the jib lower and hopefully hanging-up less but am wondering what this little complicated bit was for , before it got phased out on the 00 boats
Hopefully pic to follow
