Here's an extreme challenge that's being put together as we speak.
Notice of Race:
Date: July 2nd - 9th, 2011
We're organizing an extreme distance race that will circumnavigate the 1000 kilometers (625 miles) around Vancouver Island in the Pacific Northwest.
Map Here: http://maps.google.com/ma…6354ed6a936d25a5&t=h&z=7
Interested teams are encouraged to contact us to signal your interest. The innagural event will be limited to 10 boats/teams. We already have a few ocean-ready inflatable chase boats committed and are actively looking into the checkpoint logistics, beaches, accommodations and community support. keeping this small and safe is our prime objective at this point in time.
Anyone interested in helping us to organize this event will also be very much welcomed. I'll be planning on sailing some sections of the course over the next 2 summers and would most certainly welcome the company of a few other cats to join me.
