I am curious what year different sail numbers were produced for H18's. I know the higher number are newer, but was curious for example about when a 8000# sail was made versus a 13,000# sail.

I'd be interested in figuring out the corelation between Hobie sail numbers and model years.
There was a pretty severe drop-off in sales starting in 1985.
I had a 1981 model with a low 8000's number. I think the highest I've seen is still in 15,000's. Anyone have a higher number an a Hobie 18?

I have a '79 and the number on the sail is 1786. I am new to Cat's and I take it that is the production number.
